North Wind

A cold north wind blows

clouds of leaves across my path

like an early snow

Autumn--Otoño

The crackle of leaves

underfoot, along the path.

Has fall come so soon?

crujir de hojas
paseando por el campo
veloz otoño

Verano

Calor creciente

Largos días soleados

Llegó el verano.

It's getting hotter
the days are long and sunny
summer has arrived

Alma agobiada

Grandes tribulaciones

Ten Fortaleza.

My soul is reeling--
too many tribulations
I need to be strong.

A STREET MUSICIAN

amidst the chaos

a street musician ekes out

a circle of peace

caos total
un músico de calle
rodeado de paz

un paraíso

Un paraíso--

montañas de Provenza

son nuestro jardín

verano

calor intenso

esperamos las lluvias

casi verano

An egret, startled

An egret, startled

rises silently skyward

grace made visible

 inquieta garza
levanta grácil vuelo
es elegante
